The Party of Communists USA (PCUSA) congratulates the Spanish Communist Workers Party (PCOE) on its 50th Anniversary.

The PCOE was born after the Eurocommunist turn of the Communist Party of Spain (PCE), with the PCE opposing the Soviet intervention in Czechoslovakia and the anti-Soviet nature of Santiago Carrillo.

The PCOE continues to represent the legacy of the Popular Front of 1936 and the history of the Communist Party of Spain before it surrendered to anti-Sovietism and the fascist bourgeoisie of Spain.

The Party of Communists USA salutes the 50th Anniversary of the Spanish Communist Workers Party.
